PostSubject: Hail to the King, or should i say MONARCH   Fri Feb 26, 2016 4:31 pm

So recently I've been thoroughly excelled after a friend introduced me to this creature type known as monarch. For those who don't know, until recently I had only played in Alpha back when I was six. Before xyz summons, before pendulum, back in the simpler times when Blue Eyes White Dragon and Dark Magician were new cards. So as you could imagine, I had a bit of a learning curve to adjust to.
So when my friend showed me the awesome power of the Monarchs my gut reaction was, "Is that even legal? Are you sure this doesn't break the rules? Well apparently summoning Heavenly Monarch and bringing Light monarch out on turn one wasn't considered over powered enough for Konami to nerf it. So some of you may be wondering why I created this post, and the answer to that question is I'm doing research. You see, there is no true "invincible" deck, each has its own anti. But no matter how long I play on Dueling Network everyone either quites or I loose because my deck stalls (which happens rarely). I've played 42 matches with this deck and have lost 3 times! So I'm asking you how would you best respond if, lets say, your local gamestore was having a competition and you knew that your local meta was full of Monarchs? What spells, traps, creatures etc. would you bring to counter the monarchs? I could just google or youtube this, but whats the fun in that? Lets experiment people!! Post down bellow what you think the monarch kryptonite is and include a deck list if able. Here's what my current deck consists of:

3 Erebus The Underworld Monarch
3 Ehther The Heavenly Monarch
1 Caius The Mega Monarch
1 Thestalos The Mega Monarch
2 Kuraz The Light Monarch
2 Vanity's Fiend
3 Edea, The Heavenly Squire
3 Eidos, The Underworld Squire
3 Maxx C
2 Effect Veiler
3 Domain of the True Monarch
3 Pantheism of the Monarchs
3 The Monarch's Stormforth
1 March of the Monarchs
1 Foolish Burial
1 One for One
1 Reinforcement of the Army
2 The Prime Monarch
2 Twin Twisters

Side Board:
3 Fog King
3 Royal Decree
1 Effect Veiler
1 Zaborg The Mega Monarch
2 Landrobe the Rock Vassal
2 Majesty's Feind

Well 2 obvious flood gates are:
Mask Of Restrict http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Mask_of_Restrict
and Imperial Iron Wall http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Imperial_Iron_Wall

You might also wanna try these to combat the squires:
Chain Disappearance http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Chain_Disappearance
and Gozen Match http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Gozen_Match
